Tamp with Style

Serving the perfect coffee is a bit like learning how to drive a car. There are many different elements that must be performed in a coordinated and efficient manner to avoid the car doing a series of embarrassing kangaroo jumps down the road. Likewise, making the perfect espresso involves several processes each of which must be performed to perfection to produce the best results.

Take tamping the coffee, for instance. Get it wrong and the water will not flow through the coffee properly – too loosely tamped and the water passes through too quickly, thus not extracting the full flavour of the coffee; too tightly tamped and the water passes too slowly and the coffee will be bitter? With the Dynamometric tamper it is easy for the barista to perfectly tamp the ground coffee with consistency and flair every time.

This exceptional tamper incorporates an integrated precision release mechanism that allows the barista to reliably set and control the maximum pressure to achieve optimum results every time.

The meticulously engineered pressure limiter may be calibrated within a range from 8kg to 21kg by adjusting the screw inside the handle’s core. Once the selected pressure has been reached the dynamometric tamper will automatically trigger a click-release.

The handle is made from aluminium and the pressure-sensitive mechanism inside is stainless steel. The dynamometric tamper is supplied as a handle with a separate base of 57.5mm. Please note, it is not suitable for putting in a dishwasher.
